Holy Saturday

• In the evening of Holy Saturday we wear
our formal clothes and we go to church.

At midnight we put on white candles
with the Holy Light and the hymn

'' Christos Anesti'' (Christ is Risen) is
chanted by the priest and by everybody.

We also exchange wishes.

Then, we eat the festive dinner which includes
''magiritsa', a traditional soup with chopped lamb

liver, salad, bread cakes and, of course, red eggs.
